Et ostendit mihi fluvium aquæ vitæ,And he showed me the river of the water of life, splendidum tamquam crystallum, shining like crystal, procedentem de sede Dei et Agni.proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In medio plateæ ejus,In the midst of its main street,et ex utraque parte fluminis, and on both sides of the river, lignum vitæ,was the Tree of Life, afferens fructus duodecim per menses singulos, bearing twelve fruits, reddens fructum suumoffering one fruit for each month,et folia ligni ad sanitatem gentium.and the leaves of the tree are for the health of the nations.

Et omne maledictum non erit amplius:And every curse shall be no more.sed sedes Dei et Agni in illa erunt,But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it,et servi ejus servient illi.and his servants shall serve him.

Et videbunt faciem ejus:And they shall see his face.et nomen ejus in frontibus eorum. And his name shall be on their foreheads.

Et nox ultra non erit:And night shall be no more.et non egebunt lumine lucernæ,And they will not need the light of a lamp, neque lumine solis, nor the light of the sun, quoniam Dominus Deus illuminabit illos, because the Lord God will illuminate them.et regnabunt in sæcula sæculorum. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Et dixit mihi:And he said to me:Hæc verba fidelissima sunt, et vera.“These words are entirely faithful and true.”Et Dominus Deus spirituum prophetarum misit angelum suum ostendere servis suis quæ oportet fieri cito. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his Angel to reveal to his servant what must occur soon:

Et ecce venio velociter.“For behold,Beatus,I am approaching quickly!qui custodit verba prophetiæ libri hujus.Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Et ego Joannes,And I, John, qui audivi, et vidi hæc.heard and saw these things. And,Et postquam audissem, after I had heard and seen,et vidissem,I fell down, cecidi ut adorarem ante pedes angeli,so as to adore before the feet of the Angel, qui mihi hæc ostendebat:who was revealing these things to me.

et dixit mihi:And he said to me:Vide ne feceris:“Be careful not to do so.conservus enim tuus sum,For I am your fellow servant,et fratrum tuorum prophetarum, and I am among your brothers the prophets,et eorum qui servant verba prophetiæ libri hujus:and among those who keep the words of the prophecy of this book.Deum adora.Adore God.”

Et dicit mihi:And he said to me:Ne signaveris verba prophetiæ libri hujus:“Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book.tempus enim prope est.For the time is near.

Qui nocet,Whoever does harm, noceat adhuc:he might still do harm.et qui in sordibus est,And whoever is filthy, sordescat adhuc:he might still be filthy.et qui justus est,And whoever is just, justificetur adhuc:he may still be just.et sanctus,And one who is holy, sanctificetur adhuc.he may still be holy.”

Ecce venio cito,“Behold, I am approaching quickly!et merces mea mecum est,And my repayment is with me,reddere unicuique secundum opera sua.to render to each one according to his works.

Ego sum alpha et omega,I am the Alpha and the Omega, primus et novissimus, the First and the Last, principium et finis.the Beginning and the End.”

Beati, qui lavant stolas suas in sanguine Agni:Blessed are those who wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb.ut sit potestas eorum in ligno vitæ,So may they have a right to the tree of life;et per portas intrent in civitatem.so may they enter through the gates into the City.

Foris canes,Outside are dogs,et venefici, and drug users,et impudici, and homosexuals,et homicidæ,and murderers,et idolis servientes, and those who serve idols,et omnis qui amat et facit mendacium.and all who love and do what is false.

Ego Jesus misi angelum meum testificari vobis hæc in ecclesiis. Ego sum radix, et genus David, stella splendida et matutina.“I, Jesus, have sent my Angel, to testify to these things for you among the Churches. I am the Root and the Origin of David, the bright morning Star.”

Et spiritus,And the Spiritet sponsa dicunt:and the Bride say:Veni.“Draw near.”Et qui audit,And whoever hears,dicat:let him say:Veni.“Draw near.”Et qui sitit,And whoever thirsts,veniat:let him draw near.et qui vult,And whoever is willing,accipiat aquam vitæ,let him accept the water of life,gratis.freely.

Contestor enim omni audienti verba prophetiæ libri hujus:For I call as witnesses all listeners of the words of the prophecy of this book.si quis apposuerit ad hæc,If anyone will have added to these, apponet Deus super illum plagas scriptas in libro isto.God will add upon him the afflictions written in this book.

Et si quis diminuerit de verbis libri prophetiæ hujus,And if anyone will have taken away from the words of the book of this prophecy, auferet Deus partem ejus de libro vitæ,God will take away his portion from the Book of Life,et de civitate sancta, and from the Holy City,et de his quæ scripta sunt in libro isto:and from these things which have been written in this book.

dicit qui testimonium perhibet istorum. He who offers testimony to these things, says: “Even now,Etiam venio cito: amen.I am approaching quickly.”Veni,Amen.Domine Jesu.Come, Lord Jesus.

Gratia Domini nostri Jesu Christi cum omnibus vobis. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.Amen.Amen.
