2In visionibus Dei adduxit me in terram Israël,In the visions of God, he brought me into the land of Israel,et dimisit me super montem excelsum nimis,and he released me on an exceedingly high mountain,super quem erat quasi ædificium civitatis vergentis ad austrum.on which there was something like the edifice of a city, verging toward the south.
3Et introduxit me illuc:And he led me into that place.et ecce vir cujus erat species quasi species æris,And behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass,et funiculus lineus in manu ejus,with a linen rope in his hand,et calamus mensuræ in manu ejus:and a measuring reed in his hand.stabat autem in porta.And he was standing at the gate.
4Et locutus est ad me idem vir:And the same man said to me: “Son of man,Fili hominis,look with your eyes,vide oculis tuis,and listen with your ears,et auribus tuis audi, et pone cor tuum in omnia quæ ego ostendam tibi,and set your heart upon all that I will reveal to you. For you have been brought to this place,quia ut ostendantur tibi adductus es huc.so that these things may be revealed to you.Annuntia omnia quæ tu vides domui Israël.Announce all that you see to the house of Israel.”
5Et ecce murus forinsecus in circuitu domus undique:And behold, there was a wall outside of the house, encircling it all around,et in manu viri calamus mensuræ sex cubitorum et palmo:and in the man’s hand was a measuring reed of six cubits and a palm.et mensus est latitudinem ædificii calamo uno,And he measured the width of the edifice with one reed;altitudinem quoque calamo uno.likewise, the height with one reed.
6Et venit ad portam quæ respiciebat viam orientalem,And he went to the gate which looked toward the east,et ascendit per gradus ejus:and he ascended by its steps.et mensus est limen portæ calamo uno latitudinem,And he measured the width of the threshold of the gate as one reed,id est,that is,limen unum calamo uno in latitudine.one threshold was one reed in width.
7Et thalamum uno calamo in longum,And a chamber was one reed in lengthet uno calamo in latum:and one reed in width.et inter thalamos,And between the chambers,quinque cubitos.there were five cubits.
8Et limen portæ,And the threshold of the gate,juxta vestibulum portæ intrinsecus,next to the inner vestibule of the gate,calamo uno.was one reed.
9Et mensus est vestibulum portæ octo cubitorum,And he measured the vestibule of the gate as eight cubits,et frontem ejus duobus cubitis:and its front as two cubits.vestibulum autem portæ erat intrinsecus.But the vestibule of the gate was inside.

15Et ante faciem portæ quæ pertingebat usque ad faciem vestibuli portæ interioris,And before the face of the gate, which extended even to the face of the vestibule of the gate of the interior,quinquaginta cubitos.there were fifty cubits.

17Et eduxit me ad atrium exterius:And he led me away to the outer court,et ecce gazophylacia,and behold,et pavimentum stratum lapide in atrio per circuitum:there were storerooms and a layer of pavement stones throughout the court.triginta gazophylacia in circuitu pavimenti.Thirty storerooms encircled the pavement.
18Et pavimentum in fronte portarum,And the pavement in front of the gates,secundum longitudinem portarum erat inferius.along the length of the gates, was lower.
19Et mensus est latitudinem a facie portæ inferioris usque ad frontem atrii interioris extrinsecus:And he measured the width, from the face of the lower gate to the front of the outer part of the inner court,centum cubitos ad orientem et ad aquilonem.to be one hundred cubits, to the east and to the north.

24Et eduxit me ad viam australem:And he led me to the way of the south,et ecce porta quæ respiciebat ad austrum:and behold,et mensus est frontem ejusthere was a gate which looked toward the south.et vestibulum ejus juxta mensuras superiores.And he measured its front and its vestibule to be the same as the measures above.
25Et fenestras ejus, et vestibula in circuitu, sicut fenestras ceteras:And its windows and the vestibule all around were like the other windows:quinquaginta cubitorum longitudine, et latitudine viginti quinque cubitorum.fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.
26Et in gradibus septem ascendebatur ad eam,And there were seven steps to ascend to it,et vestibulum ante fores ejus:and a vestibule before its doors.et cælatæ palmæ erant, una hinc,And there were engraved palm trees,et altera inde,one on each side,in fronte ejus.at its front.
27Et porta atrii interioris in via australi:And there was a gate at the inner court, on the way to the south.et mensus est a porta usque ad portam in via australi,And he measured from one gate to another, on the way to the south,centum cubitos.to be one hundred cubits.
28Et introduxit me in atrium interius ad portam australem:And he led me into the inner court, to the south gate.et mensus est portam juxta mensuras superiores.And he measured the gate to be in accord with the measures above.

32Et introduxit me in atrium interius,And he led me into the inner court,per viam orientalem:along the way of the east.et mensus est portam secundum mensuras superiores.And he measured the gate to be in accord with the measures above.

41quatuor mensæ hinc,Four tables were on one side,et quatuor mensæ inde:and four tables were on the other side;per latera portæ octo mensæ erant,along the sides of the gate, there were eight tables,super quas immolabant.upon which they immolated.
42Quatuor autem mensæ ad holocaustum de lapidibus quadris exstructæ,Now the four tables for the holocausts were constructed of square stones:longitudine cubiti unius et dimidii,one and a half cubit in length,et latitudine cubiti unius et dimidii,and one and a half cubits in width,et altitudine cubiti unius:and one cubit in height. Upon these,super quas ponant vasa in quibus immolatur holocaustum et victima.they placed the vessels, in which the holocaust and the victim were immolated.
43Et labia earum palmi unius,And their edges were one palm in width,reflexa intrinsecus per circuitum:turned inward all around.super mensas autem carnes oblationis.And the flesh of the oblation was on the tables.
44Et extra portam interiorem,And outside the interior gate,gazophylacia cantorum in atrio interiori,there were storerooms for the cantors, in the inner court,quod erat in latere portæ respicientis ad aquilonem:which was beside the gate that looks toward the north.et facies eorum contra viam australem:And their face was opposite the way to the south;una ex latere portæ orientalis,one was beside the east gate,quæ respiciebat ad viam aquilonis.which looked toward the way of the north.
45Et dixit ad me:And he said to me:Hoc est gazophylacium quod respicit viam meridianam:“This is the storeroom that looks toward the south;sacerdotum erit, qui excubant in custodiis templi.it shall be for the priests who keep watch for the protection of the temple.
46Porro gazophylacium quod respicit ad viam aquilonis,Moreover,sacerdotum erit,the storeroom that looks toward the north will be for the priests who keep watch over the ministry of the altar.qui excubant ad ministerium altaris:These are the sons of Zadok,isti sunt filii Sadoc,those among the sons of Levi who may draw near to the Lord,qui accedunt de filiis Levi ad Dominum ut ministrent ei.so that they may minister to him.”
47Et mensus est atrium longitudine centum cubitorum,And he measured the court to be one hundred cubits in length,et latitudine centum cubitorum per quadrum:and one hundred cubits in width, with four equal sides.et altare ante faciem templi.And the altar was before the face of the temple.
48Et introduxit me in vestibulum templi:And he led me into the vestibule of the temple.et mensus est vestibulum quinque cubitis hinc,And he measured the vestibule to be five cubits on one side,et quinque cubitis inde:and five cubits on the other side.et latitudinem portæ trium cubitorum hinc,And the width of the gate was three cubits on one side,et trium cubitorum inde.and three cubits on the other side.
49Longitudinem autem vestibuli viginti cubitorum,Now the length of the vestibule was twenty cubits,et latitudinem undecim cubitorum,and the width was eleven cubits,et octo gradibus ascendebatur ad eam.and there were eight steps to ascend to it.Et columnæ erant in frontibus:And there were pillars at the front,una hinc,one on this sideet altera inde.and another on that side.
