1Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron,And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron,dicens:saying:
2Loquimini filiis Israël,Speak to the sons of Israel,et dicite eis:and say to them:Vir, qui patitur fluxum seminis, immundus erit.The man who undergoes a flow of seed shall be unclean.
3Et tunc judicabitur huic vitio subjacere,And then he shall be judged subject to this fault,cum per singula momenta adhæserit carni ejus,if a filthy fluid, at each moment,atque concreverit fœdus humor.adheres to his flesh and gathers there.
4Omne stratum, in quo dormierit, immundum erit,Every bed on which he sleeps shall be unclean,et ubicumque sederit.and every place where he sits.
5Si quis hominum tetigerit lectum ejus,If any man has touched his couch,lavabit vestimenta sua,he shall wash his clothes,et ipse lotus aqua,and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
6Si sederit ubi ille sederat,If he will have sat where that man has sat,et ipse lavabit vestimenta sua:he shall also wash his clothes,et lotus aqua,and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
7Qui tetigerit carnem ejus, lavabit vestimenta sua:Whoever has touched his flesh shall wash his clothes,et ipse lotus aqua,and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
8Si salivam hujuscemodi homo jecerit super eum qui mundus est,If such a man has cast his spittle upon him who is clean,lavabit vestimenta sua:he shall wash his clothes,et lotus aqua,and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
9Sagma, super quo sederit, immundum erit:The saddle on which he has sat shall be unclean.
10et quidquid sub eo fuerit, qui fluxum seminis patitur, pollutum erit usque ad vesperum.And whatever has been under him who has undergone a flow of seed shall be polluted until evening.Qui portaverit horum aliquid, lavabit vestimenta sua:Whoever carries any of these things shall wash his clothes,et ipse lotus aqua,and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
11Omnis, quem tetigerit qui talis est,All whom such a one has touched,non lotis ante manibus,not having washed his hands before,lavabit vestimenta sua, et lotus aqua,shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water,immundus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be unclean until evening.
12Vas fictile quod tetigerit confringetur:If he has touched an earthen vessel, it shall be broken.vas autem ligneum lavabitur aqua.But if it is a wooden vessel, it shall be washed with water.
13Si sanatus fuerit qui hujuscemodi sustinet passionem,If he who suffers from this affliction will have been healed,numerabit septem dies post emundationem sui,he shall number seven days after his cleansing,et lotis vestibus et toto corpore in aquis viventibus,and having washed his clothes and his entire body in living water,erit mundus.he shall be clean.
14Die autem octavo sumet duos turtures,Then, on the eighth day, he shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons,aut duos pullos columbæ,and he shall advance,et veniet in conspectum Domini ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii,in the sight of the Lord, toward the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,dabitque eos sacerdoti:and he shall give these to the priest,
15qui faciet unum pro peccatowho shall offer one for sin,et alterum in holocaustum:and the other as a holocaust.rogabitque pro eo coram Domino,And he shall pray for him before the Lord,ut emundetur a fluxi seminis sui.so that he may be cleansed from the flow of his seed.
16Vir de quo egreditur semen coitus, lavabit aqua omne corpus suum:A man from whom the seed of sexual intercourse goes out shall wash his entire body with water,et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.and he shall be unclean until evening.
17Vestem et pellem,The garmentquam habuerit,or skin which he will have,lavabit aqua,he shall wash with water,et immunda erit usque ad vesperum.and it shall be unclean until evening.
18Mulier, cum qua coierit, lavabitur aqua,The woman with whom he has had sexual intercourse shall be washed with water,et immunda erit usque ad vesperum.and she shall be unclean until evening.
19Mulier,The woman who,quæ redeunte mense patitur fluxum sanguinis,at the return of the month,septem diebus separabitur.undergoes the flow of blood shall be separated for seven days.
20Omnis qui tetigerit eam, immundus erit usque ad vesperum:All who will touch her shall be unclean until evening.
21et in quo dormieritAnd everything on which she sleeps or sits,vel sederit diebus separationis suæ,in the days of her separation,polluetur.shall be polluted.
22Qui tetigerit lectum ejus, lavabit vestimenta sua:Whoever will have touched her bed shall wash his clothes,et ipse lotus aqua, immundus erit usque ad vesperum.and having washed himself with water, he shall be unclean until evening.
23Omne vas, super quo illa sederit, quisquis attigerit,Anyone who will have touched any item on which she has sat shall wash his clothes,lavabit vestimenta sua: et ipse lotus aqua,and having washed himself with water,pollutus erit usque ad vesperum.he shall be polluted until evening.
24Si coierit cum ea vir tempore sanguinis menstrualis,If a man has sexual intercourse with her in the time of her monthly flow of blood,immundus erit septem diebus:he shall be unclean for seven days,et omne stratum, in quo dormierit, polluetur.and every bed on which he sleeps shall be polluted.
25Mulier,The woman who undergoes a flow of blood many days beyond her time of menstruation,quæ patitur multis diebus fluxum sanguinis non in tempore menstruali,or whose blood does not cease to flow after the menstrual blood,vel quæ post menstruum sanguinem fluere non cessat,as long as she is subject to this affliction,quamdiu subjacet huic passioni,she shall be unclean,immunda erit quasi sit in tempore menstruo.just as if she were in her time of menstruation.
26Omne stratum, in quo dormierit,Every bed on which she sleeps,et vas in quo sederit,and every item on which she sits,pollutum erit.shall be polluted.
27Quicumque tetigerit ea, lavabit vestimenta sua:Whoever will have touched these shall wash his clothes,et ipse lotus aqua, immundus erit usque ad vesperam.and having washed himself with water, he shall be unclean until evening.
28Si steterit sanguis,If the blood has stoppedet fluere cessaverit,and has ceased to flow,numerabit septem dies purificationis suæ:she shall number seven days for her purification,
29et die octavo offeret pro se sacerdoti duos turtures,and on the eighth day she shall offer for herself, to the priest,aut duos pullos columbarum,two turtledoves or two young pigeons,ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii:at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.
30qui unum faciet pro peccato,And he shall offer one for sin,et alterum in holocaustum,and the other as a holocaust,rogabitque pro ea coram Domino,and he shall pray for her before the Lord,et pro fluxu immunditiæ ejus.and for the flow of her uncleanness.
31Docebitis ergo filios Israël ut caveant immunditiam,Therefore, you shall teach the sons of Israel to be cautious of uncleanness,et non moriantur in sordibus suis,so that they may not die in their filth,cum polluerint tabernaculum meum quod est inter eos.when they will have polluted my tabernacle, which is among them.
32Ista est lex ejus, qui patitur fluxum seminis,This is the law of him who undergoes a flow of seed,et qui polluitur coitu,or who is polluted by sexual intercourse,
33et quæ menstruis temporibus separatur,and of her who is separated in the time of menstruation,vel quæ jugi fluit sanguine,or who has a continual flow of blood,et hominis qui dormierit cum ea.and of the man who sleeps with her.
