Psalmus ipsi David.A Psalm of David himself.Misericordiam et judicium cantabo tibi,I will sing mercy and judgment to you,Domine;O Lord.psallam,I will sing psalms.
et intelligam in via immaculata:And I will have understanding within the immaculate way, quando venies ad me?when you will draw near to me.Perambulabam in innocentia cordis mei,I wandered about in the innocence of my heart,in medio domus meæ.in the midst of my house.
Non proponebam ante oculos meos rem injustam;I will not display any unjust thing before my eyes.facientes prævaricationes odivi; non adhæsit mihiI have hated those carrying out betrayals.
cor pravum; declinantem a me malignum non cognoscebam. The perverse heart did not adhere to me. And the malignant, who turned away before me, I would not recognize.
Detrahentem secreto proximo suo,The one who secretly detracted his neighbor, hunc persequebar:this one I pursued.superbo oculo,The one with an arrogant eyeet insatiabili corde, and an insatiable heart, cum hoc non edebam.with that one I would not eat.
Oculi mei ad fideles terræ,My eyes looked toward the faithful of the earth,ut sedeant mecum;to sit with me.ambulans in via immaculata,The one walking in the immaculate way,hic mihi ministrabat.this one ministered to me.
Non habitabit in medio domus meæ qui facit superbiam; He who has acted arrogantly will not dwell in the midst of my house.qui loquitur iniqua non direxit in conspectu oculorum meorum. He who has spoken iniquity was not guided with the sight of my eyes.
In matutino interficiebam omnes peccatores terræ,In the morning, I executed all the sinners of the earth,ut disperderem de civitate Domini omnes operantes iniquitatem.so that I might scatter all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.
