In finem.Unto the end.Canticum psalmi resurrectionis.A Canticle Psalm of the Resurrection.Jubilate Deo,Shout joyfully to God,omnis terra;all the earth.
psalmum dicite nomini ejus;Proclaim a psalm to his name.date gloriam laudi ejus.Give glory to his praise.
Dicite Deo:Exclaim to God,Quam terribilia sunt opera tua,“How terrible are your works, O Lord!”Domine! in multitudine virtutis tuæ mentientur tibi inimici tui.According to the fullness of your virtue, your enemies will speak lies about you.
Omnis terra adoret te,Let all the earth adore youet psallat tibi;and sing psalms to you.psalmum dicat nomini tuo.May it sing a psalm to your name.
Venite,Draw nearet videte opera Dei:and see the works of God,terribilis in consiliis super filios hominum.who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.
Qui convertit mare in aridam; He converts the sea into dry land.in flumine pertransibunt pede:They will cross the river on foot.ibi lætabimur in ipso. There, we will rejoice in him.
Qui dominatur in virtute sua in æternum; He rules by his virtue for eternity.oculi ejus super gentes respiciunt:His eyes gaze upon the nations.qui exasperant non exaltentur in semetipsis.May those who exasperate him, not be exalted in themselves.
Benedicite, gentes,Bless our God,Deum nostrum, you Gentiles,et auditam facite vocem laudis ejus:and make the voice of his praise be heard.
qui posuit animam meam ad vitam,He has set my soul toward life,et non dedit in commotionem pedes meos.and he has granted that my feet may not be shaken.
Quoniam probasti nos,For you, O God, have tested us.Deus; igne nos examinasti,You have examined us by fire, sicut examinatur argentum.just as silver is examined.
Induxisti nos in laqueum; You have led us into a snare.posuisti tribulationes in dorso nostro; You have placed tribulations on our back.
imposuisti homines super capita nostra. You have set men over our heads.Transivimus per ignem et aquam,We have crossed through fire and water.et eduxisti nos in refrigerium. And you have led us out to refreshment.
Introibo in domum tuam in holocaustis;I will enter your house with holocausts.reddam tibi vota meaI will repay my vows to you,
quæ distinxerunt labia mea:which my lips discerned and my mouth spoke,et locutum est os meum in tribulatione mea.in my tribulation.
Holocausta medullata offeram tibi,I will offer to you holocausts full of marrow, cum incenso arietum;with the burnt offerings of rams.offeram tibi boves cum hircis.I will offer to you bulls as well as goats.
Venite, audite,Draw near and listen,et narrabo, all you who fear God,omnes qui timetis Deum, quanta fecit animæ meæ.and I will describe to you how much he has done for my soul.
Ad ipsum ore meo clamavi,I cried out to him with my mouth,et exaltavi sub lingua mea.and I extolled him under my breath.
Iniquitatem si aspexi in corde meo,If I have seen iniquity in my heart, non exaudiet Dominus.the Lord would not heed me.
Propterea exaudivit Deus,And yet,et attendit voci deprecationis meæ.God has heeded me and he has attended to the voice of my supplication.
Benedictus Deus,Blessed is God,qui non amovit orationem meam, who has not removed my prayer,et misericordiam suam a me.nor his mercy, from me.
