2Exsurgat Deus,May God rise up,et dissipentur inimici ejus;and may his enemies be scattered,et fugiant qui oderunt eum a facie ejus.and may those who hate him flee from before his face.
3Sicut deficit fumus,Just as smoke vanishes,deficiant;so may they vanish.sicut fluit cera a facie ignis,Just as wax flows away before the face of fire,sic pereant peccatores a facie Dei.so may sinners pass away before the face of God.
4Et justi epulentur,And so,et exsultent in conspectu Dei,let the just feast,et delectentur in lætitia.and let them exult in the sight of God and be delighted in gladness.
5Cantate Deo;Sing to God,psalmum dicite nomini ejus:sing a psalm to his name.iter facite ei qui ascendit super occasum.Make a path for him, who ascends over the west.Dominus nomen illi;The Lord is his name.exsultate in conspectu ejus. Turbabuntur a facie ejus,Exult in his sight; they will be stirred up before his face,
6patris orphanorum,the father of orphanset judicis viduarum;and the judge of widows.Deus in loco sancto suo.God is in his holy place.
7Deus qui inhabitare facit unius moris in domo;It is God who makes men dwell in a house under one custom.qui educit vinctos in fortitudine,He leads out those who are strongly bound,similiter eos qui exasperant,and similarly, those who exasperate,qui habitant in sepulchris.who dwell in sepulchers.
8Deus,O God,cum egredereris in conspectu populi tui,when you departed in the sight of your people,cum pertransires in deserto,when you passed through the desert,
9terra mota est,the earth was moved,etenim cæli distillaverunt, a facie Dei Sinai,for the heavens rained down before the face of the God of Sinai,a facie Dei Israël.before the face of the God of Israel.
10Pluviam voluntariam segregabis,You will set aside for your inheritance,Deus,O God,hæreditati tuæ;a willing rain.et infirmata est,And though it was weak,tu vero perfecisti eam.truly, you have made it perfect.
11Animalia tua habitabunt in ea;Your animals will dwell in it. O God,parasti in dulcedine tua pauperi, Deus.in your sweetness, you have provided for the poor.
12Dominus dabit verbum evangelizantibus,The Lord will give the word to evangelizers,virtute multa.along with great virtue.
13Rex virtutum dilecti, dilecti;The King of virtue is beloved among the beloved.et speciei domus dividere spolia.And the beauty of the house will divide spoils.
14Si dormiatis inter medios cleros,If you take your rest in the midst of the clergy,pennæ columbæ deargentatæ,you will be like a dove whose wings are covered with fine silveret posteriora dorsi ejus in pallore auri.and edged with pale gold.
15Dum discernit cælestis reges super eam,When heaven discerns kings to be over her,nive dealbabuntur in Selmon.they will be whitened with the snows of Zalmon.
16Mons Dei, mons pinguis:The mountain of God is a fat mountain,mons coagulatus,a dense mountain,mons pinguis.a thick mountain.
17Ut quid suspicamini, montes coagulatos?So then, why are you distrustful of dense mountains?mons in quo beneplacitum est Deo habitare in eo;The mountain on which God is well pleased to dwell,etenim Dominus habitabit in finem.even there, the Lord will dwell until the end.
18Currus Dei decem millibus multiplex,The chariot of God is ten thousand fold:millia lætantium;thousands rejoice.Dominus in eis in Sina,The Lord is with them in Sinai,in sancto.in the holy place.
19Ascendisti in altum,You have ascended on high;cepisti captivitatem,you have taken captivity captive.accepisti dona in hominibus;You have accepted gifts among men.etenim non credentes inhabitare Dominum Deum.For even those who do not believe dwell with the Lord God.
20Benedictus Dominus die quotidie:Blessed is the Lord, day after day.prosperum iter faciet nobis Deus salutarium nostrorum.The God of our salvation will make our journey prosper for us.
21Deus noster, Deus salvos faciendi;Our God is the God who will bring about our salvation,et Domini, Domini exitus mortis.and our Lord is the Lord who has brought an end to death.
22Verumtamen Deus confringet capita inimicorum suorum,So then, truly, God will break the heads of his enemies,verticem capilli perambulantium in delictis suis.the hairy skull of those who wander around in their offenses.
23Dixit Dominus:The Lord said:Ex Basan convertam,I will turn them away from Bashan,convertam in profundum maris:I will turn them into the depths of the sea,
24ut intingatur pes tuus in sanguine;so that your feet may be soaked in the blood of your enemies,lingua canum tuorum ex inimicis, ab ipso.so that the tongue of your dogs may be soaked with the same.
25Viderunt ingressus tuos, Deus,O God, they have seen your arrival,ingressus Dei mei,the arrival of my God,regis mei, qui est in sancto.of my king who is in a holy place.
26Prævenerunt principes conjuncti psallentibus,The leaders went ahead, united with the singers of psalms,in medio juvencularum tympanistriarum.in the midst of girls playing on timbrels.
27In ecclesiis benedicite Deo Domino de fontibus Israël.In the churches, bless the Lord God from the fountains of Israel.

29Manda, Deus,Command by your virtue,virtuti tuæ; confirma hoc,O God. Confirm in this place,Deus,O God,quod operatus es in nobis.what you have wrought in us.
30A templo tuo in Jerusalem,Before your temple in Jerusalem,tibi offerent reges munera.kings will offer gifts to you.
31Increpa feras arundinis;Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds,congregatio taurorum in vaccis populorum:a congregation of bulls with the cows of the people,ut excludant eos qui probati sunt argento.for they seek to exclude those who have been tested like silver.Dissipa gentes quæ bella volunt.Scatter the nations that are pleased by wars.
32Venient legati ex Ægypto;Ambassadors will come out of Egypt.Æthiopia præveniet manus ejus Deo.Ethiopia will offer in advance her hands to God.
33Regna terræ,Sing to God,cantate Deo;O kingdoms of the earth.psallite Domino;Sing psalms to the Lord.psallite Deo.Sing psalms to God.
34Qui ascendit super cælum cæli,He ascends, up to the heaven of the heavens,ad orientem:toward the east.ecce dabit voci suæ vocem virtutis.Behold, he will utter his voice, the voice of virtue.
35Date gloriam Deo super Israël;Give glory to God beyond Israel.magnificentia ejus et virtus ejus in nubibus.His magnificence and his virtue is in the clouds.
36Mirabilis Deus in sanctis suis;God is wonderful in his saints.Deus Israël ipse dabit virtutem et fortitudinem plebi suæ.The God of Israel himself will give virtue and strength to his people.Benedictus Deus!Blessed is God.
