2non audivit vocem,She has not heeded the voice,et non suscepit disciplinam;nor has she accepted discipline.in Domino non est confisa,She has not trusted in the Lord;ad Deum suum non appropinquavit.she did not draw near to her God.
3Principes ejus in medio ejus quasi leones rugientes;Her leaders are in her midst like roaring lions.judices ejus lupi vespere,Her judges are evening wolves;non relinquebant in mane.they leave nothing for the morning.
4Prophetæ ejus vesani,Her prophets are crazed;viri infideles;men without faith.sacerdotes ejus polluerunt sanctum,Her priests have polluted what is holy;injuste egerunt contra legem.they have acted unjustly against the law.
5Dominus justus in medio ejus non faciet iniquitatem;The just Lord is in their midst; he will not do iniquity. In the morning,mane, mane judicium suum dabit in lucem,in the morning, he will bring his judgment into the light,et non abscondetur;and it will not be hidden.nescivit autem iniquus confusionem.But the impious one has not known shame.

8Quapropter exspecta me,Because of this, expect me,dicit Dominus,says the Lord,in die resurrectionis meæ in futurum:in the day of my resurrection in the future,quia judicium meum ut congregem gentes,for my judgment is to gather together the Gentiles,et colligam regna, et effundam super eos indignationem meam,and to collect the kingdoms, and to pour out over them my indignation,omnem iram furoris mei:all the fury of my anger.in igne enim zeli mei devorabitur omnis terra.For by the fire of my zeal, all the earth will be devoured.
9Quia tunc reddam populis labium electum,For then I will restore to the people a chosen lip,ut invocent omnes in nomine Domini,so that all may invoke the name of the Lordet serviant ei humero uno.and may serve him with one shoulder.
10Ultra flumina Æthiopiæ, inde supplices mei;From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, my supplicants,filii dispersorum meorum deferent munus mihi.the sons of my diaspora, will carry a gift to me.
11In die illa non confunderis super cunctis adinventionibus tuis,In that day, you will not be ashamed over all of your inventions,quibus prævaricata es in me,by which you have transgressed against me.quia tunc auferam de medio tui magniloquos superbiæ tuæ,For then I will take away from your midst your arrogant boasters,et non adjicies exaltari amplius in monte sancto meo.and you will no longer be exalted on my holy mountain.
12Et derelinquam in medio tui populum pauperem et egenum:And I will bequeath into your midst a poor and needy people,et sperabunt in nomine Domini.and they will hope in the name of the Lord.
13Reliquiæ Israël non facient iniquitatem,The remnant of Israel will not do iniquity,nec loquentur mendacium,nor speak lies,et non invenietur in ore eorum lingua dolosa,and a deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouth.quoniam ipsi pascentur,For they will pastureet accubabunt,and will recline,et non erit qui exterreat.and there will be no one to strike them with terror.
14Lauda,Give praise,filia Sion;daughter of Zion.jubila,Shout joyfully,Israël:Israel.lætare,Rejoiceet exsulta in omni corde,and exult with all your heart,filia Jerusalem.daughter of Jerusalem.
15Abstulit Dominus judicium tuum;The Lord has taken away your judgment;avertit inimicos tuos.he has turned aside your foes.Rex Israël Dominus in medio tui:The king of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;non timebis malum ultra.you shall no longer fear evil.
16In die illa dicetur Jerusalem:In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem,Noli timere;“Do not be afraid,”Sion: Non dissolvantur manus tuæ.and to Zion, “Do not let your hands be weakened.”
17Dominus Deus tuus in medio tui fortis,The Lord your God is the strength in your midst;ipse salvabit: gaudebit super te in lætitia,he will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness.silebit in dilectione sua,In his love, he will be silent.exsultabit super te in laude.He will exult over you with praise.
18Nugas, qui a lege recesserant,The triflers who withdrew from the law,congregabo,I will gather together,quia ex te erant:because they were from you,ut non ultra habeas super eis opprobrium.so that you may no longer suffer disgrace over them.
19Ecce ego interficiam omnes qui afflixerunt te in tempore illo:Behold,et salvabo claudicantem,I will execute all who have afflicted you in that time,et eam quæ ejecta fuerat congregabo:and I will save those who are lame,et ponam eos in laudem,and I will gather together her who had been cast out.et in nomen,And I will place them in praise and in renown,in omni terra confusionis eorum,in all the land where they had been put to shame,
20in tempore illo quo adducam vos,in that time, when I will lead to you,et in tempore quo congregabo vos.and in the time when I will gather for you.Dabo enim vos in nomen, et in laudem omnibus populis terræ,For I will deliver you into renown and into praise, among all the peoples of the earth,cum convertero captivitatem vestram coram oculis vestris,when I will have converted your captivity before your very eyes,dicit Dominus.says the Lord.
