⁵Si fures introissent ad te,If thieves had approached you,si latrones per noctem,if robbers by night,quomodo conticuisses?how would you have remained unnoticed?nonne furati essent sufficientia sibi?Would they not have stolen all that they wanted?Si vindemiatores introissent ad te,If the grape-pickers had approached you,numquid saltem racemum reliquissent tibi?would they not have left you at least a cluster?
