³Dabit autem Dominus gratiam populo suo coram Ægyptiis.Then the Lord will grant favor to his people in the sight of the Egyptians.”Fuitque Moyses vir magnus valde in terra Ægypti coram servis PharaonisAnd Moses was a very great man in the land of Egypt,et omni populo.in the sight of the servants of Pharaoh and of all the people.

⁵et morietur omne primogenitum in terra Ægyptiorum,And every firstborn in the land of the Egyptians shall die,a primogenito Pharaonis,from the firstborn of Pharaoh,qui sedet in solio ejus,who sits on his throne,usque ad primogenitum ancillæ quæ est ad molam,even to the firstborn of the handmaid, who is at the millstone,et omnia primogenita jumentorum.and all the firstborn of the beasts of burden.

⁷Apud omnes autem filios Israël non mutiet canis ab homine usque ad pecus:But among all the sons of Israel there shall not be even a mutter from a dog, from man, even to cattle,ut sciatis quanto miraculo dividat Dominus Ægyptios et Israël.so that you may know how miraculously the Lord divides the Egyptians from Israel.’
