Omnes sitientes,All you who thirst, venite ad aquas, come to the waters.et qui non habetis argentum,And you who have no money:properate, hurry, emite, buy and eat.et comedite:Approach, venite, buy wine and milk, emite absque argento et absque ulla commutatione vinum et lac.without money and without barter.

Quare appenditis argentum non in panibus,Why do you spend money for what is not bread,et laborem vestrum non in saturitate?and expend your labor for what does not satisfy?Audite, audientes me,Listen very closely to me,et comedite bonum, and eat what is good,et delectabitur in crassitudine anima vestra.and then your soul will be delighted by a full measure.

Inclinate aurem vestram,Incline your earet venite ad me;and draw near to me.audite,Listen,et vivet anima vestra, and your soul will live.et feriam vobiscum pactum sempiternum,And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, misericordias David fideles.by the faithful mercies of David.

Ecce testem populis dedi eum,Behold, ducemI have presented him as a witness to the people,ac præceptorem gentibus.as a commander and instructor to the nations.

Ecce gentem quam nesciebas vocabis,Behold, you will call to a nation that you did not know.et gentes quæ te non cognoverunt ad te current,And nations that did not know you will rush to you, propter Dominum Deum tuum, because of the Lord your God,et Sanctum Israël,the Holy One of Israel.quia glorificavit te.For he has glorified you.

Quærite Dominum dum inveniri potest;Seek the Lord, while he is able to be found.invocate eum dum prope est.Call upon him, while he is near.

Derelinquat impius viam suam,Let the impious one abandon his way,et vir iniquus cogitationes suas, and the iniquitous man his thoughts,et revertatur ad Dominum, and let him return to the Lord,et miserebitur ejus;and he will take pity on him,et ad Deum nostrum, and to our God,quoniam multus est ad ignoscendum.for he is great in forgiveness.

Non enim cogitationes meæ cogitationes vestræ,For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neque viæ vestræ viæ meæ,and your ways are not my ways, dicit Dominus.says the Lord.

Quia sicut exaltantur cæli a terra,For just as the heavens are exalted above the earth, sic exaltatæ sunt viæ meæ a viis vestris,so also are my ways exalted above your ways,et cogitationes meæ a cogitationibus vestris.and my thoughts above your thoughts.

Et quomodo descendit imber et nix de cælo, et illuc ultra non revertitur,And in the same manner as rain and snow descend from heaven, and no longer return there, sed inebriat terram, but soak the earth,et infundit eam,and water it,et germinare eam facit, et dat semen serenti, et panem comedenti:and cause it to bloom and to provide seed to the sower and bread to the hungry,

sic erit verbum meum quod egredietur de ore meo;so also will my word be, which will go forth from my mouth.non revertetur ad me vacuum,It will not return to me empty, sed faciet quæcumque volui, but it will accomplish whatever I will,et prosperabitur in his ad quæ misi illud.and it will prosper in the tasks for which I sent it.

Quia in lætitia egrediemini,For you will go forth rejoicing,et in pace deducemini;and you will be led forward in peace.montes et colles cantabunt coram vobis laudem,The mountains and the hills will sing praise before you,et omnia ligna regionis plaudent manu.and all the trees of the countryside will clap their hands.

Pro saliunca ascendet abies,In place of the shrub, the pine tree will arise,et pro urtica crescet myrtus;and in place of the nettle, the myrtle tree will grow.et erit Dominus nominatus in signum æternum quod non auferetur. And the Lord will be named with an eternal sign, which will not be taken away.
