Propter Sion non tacebo,For the sake of Zion,et propter Jerusalem non quiescam,I will not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem, donec egrediatur ut splendor justus ejus,I will not rest, until her Just One advances in splendor,et salvator ejus ut lampas accendatur.and her Savior is kindled like a lamp.
Et videbunt gentes justum tuum,And the Gentiles will see your Just One,et cuncti reges inclytum tuum;and all the kings will see your Renowned One.et vocabitur tibi nomen novum,And you shall be called by a new name, quod os Domini nominabit.which the mouth of the Lord will choose.
Et eris corona gloriæ in manu Domini,And you shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,et diadema regni in manu Dei tui.and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Non vocaberis ultra Derelicta,You will no longer be called Forsaken.et terra tua non vocabitur amplius Desolata; And your land will no longer be called Desolate.sed vocaberis,Instead,Voluntas mea in ea,you shall be called My Will within it,et terra tua Inhabitata, and your land shall be called Inhabited.quia complacuit Domino in te,For the Lord has been well pleased with you,et terra tua inhabitabitur.and your land will be inhabited.
Habitabit enim juvenis cum virgine,For the young man will live with the virgin,et habitabunt in te filii tui;and your children will live with you.et gaudebit sponsus super sponsam,And the groom will rejoice over the bride,et gaudebit super te Deus tuus.and your God will rejoice over you.
Super muros tuos,Upon your walls,Jerusalem,O Jerusalem, constitui custodes;I have stationed watchmen all day and all night unceasingly;tota die et tota nocte in perpetuum non tacebunt.they will not be silent.Qui reminiscimini Domini,You who are mindful of the Lord,ne taceatis, you should not be silent,
et ne detis silentium ei,and you should not grant silence to him, donec stabiliat et donec ponat Jerusalem laudem in terra.until he makes firm and establishes Jerusalem as a praise upon the earth.
Juravit Dominus in dextera sua, et in brachio fortitudinis suæ:The Lord has sworn with his right hand and with the arm of his strength: “Certainly,Si dedero triticum tuum ultra cibum inimicis tuis;I will no longer permit your grain to be the food of your enemies.et si biberint filii alieni vinum tuum in quo laborasti. And the sons of foreigners will not drink your wine, for which you have labored.”
Quia qui congregant illud,For those who gather it will eat it,comedent, et laudabunt Dominum;and they will praise the Lord.et qui comportant illud, bibent in atriis sanctis meis. And those who bring it together will drink it in my holy courts.
Transite,Pass through, transite per portas, pass through the gates!præparate viam populo:Prepare a way for the people!planum facite iter,Make the road level, eligite lapides, remove the stones,et elevate signum ad populos.and lift up a sign for the people!
Ecce Dominus auditum fecit in extremis terræ:Behold, the Lord has caused it to be heard to the ends of the earth.Dicite filiæ Sion:Tell the daughter of Zion:Ecce Salvator tuus venit;“Behold, your Savior approaches!ecce merces ejus cum eo,Behold, his reward is with him,et opus ejus coram illo.and his work before him.”
Et vocabunt eos,And they will call them:Populus sanctus,The holy people,redempti a Domino;the redeemed of the Lord.tu autem vocaberis,Then you will be called:Quæsita civitas,A city sought,et non Derelicta.and not forsaken.
