¹⁸præsertim cum de sanguine illius non sit illatum intra sancta,especially since none of its blood has been brought into the holy places,et comedere debueritis eam in Sanctuario,and since you should have eaten it in the Sanctuary,sicut præceptum est mihi?as was instructed me?”

¹⁹Respondit Aaron:Aaron responded:Oblata est hodie victima pro peccato,“This day, the victim for sin has been offered,et holocaustum coram Domino:and the holocaust in the sight of the Lord.mihi autem accidit quod vides;But you see what has happened to me.quomodo potui comedere eam,How could I eat it,aut placere Domino in cæremoniis mente lugubri?or please the Lord in the ceremonies, having a sorrowful mind?”
