Ipsi David. Confitebor tibi,Of David himself. O Lord,Domine, in toto corde meo,I will confess to you with my whole heart, quoniam audisti verba oris mei.for you have heard the words of my mouth. In conspectu angelorum psallam tibi;I will sing psalms to you in the sight of the Angels.
adorabo ad templum sanctum tuum,I will adore before your holy temple,et confitebor nomini tuo:and I will confess your name:super misericordia tua et veritate tua;it is above your mercyquoniam magnificasti super omne, and your truth.nomen sanctum tuum. For you have magnified your holy name above all.
In quacumque die invocavero te,On whatever day that I will call upon you:exaudi me;hear me.multiplicabis in anima mea virtutem. You will multiply virtue in my soul.
Confiteantur tibi, Domine, omnes reges terræ,May all the kings of the earth confess to you, quia audierunt omnia verba oris tui.O Lord. For they have heard all the words of your mouth.
Et cantent in viis Domini,And let them sing in accordance with the ways of the Lord.quoniam magna est gloria Domini; For great is the glory of the Lord.
quoniam excelsus Dominus,For the Lord is exalted,et humilia respicit, and he looks with favor on the humble.et alta a longe cognoscit. But the lofty he knows from a distance.
Si ambulavero in medio tribulationis,If I wander into the midst of tribulation, vivificabis me;you will revive me.et super iram inimicorum meorum extendisti manum tuam,For you extended your hand against the wrath of my enemies.et salvum me fecit dextera tua.And your right hand has accomplished my salvation.
Dominus retribuet pro me.The Lord will provide retribution on my behalf.Domine,O Lord, misericordia tua in sæculum;your mercy is forever.opera manuum tuarum ne despicias.Do not disdain the works of your hands.
