Psalmus David.A Psalm of David.Domine,O Lord, clamavi ad te:I have cried out to you, exaudi me;hear me.intende voci meæ,Attend to my voice, cum clamavero ad te.when I cry out to you.

Dirigatur oratio mea sicut incensum in conspectu tuo;Let my prayer be guided like incense in your sight:elevatio manuum mearum sacrificium vespertinum.the lifting up of my hands, like the evening sacrifice.

Pone,O Lord,Domine, custodiam ori meo, et ostium circumstantiæ labiis meis.station a guard over my mouth and a door enclosing my lips.

Non declines cor meum in verba malitiæ, ad excusandas excusationes in peccatis;Do not turn aside my heart to words of malice, to making excuses for sins, cum hominibus operantibus iniquitatem, with men who work iniquity; and I will not communicate,et non communicabo cum electis eorum.even with the best of them.

Corripiet me justus in misericordia,The just one will correct me with mercy,et increpabit me:and he will rebuke me.oleum autem peccatoris non impinguet caput meum. But do not allow the oil of the sinner to fatten my head.Quoniam adhuc et oratio mea in beneplacitis eorum:For my prayer will still be toward their good will.

absorpti sunt juncti petræ judices eorum.Their judges have been engulfed, joined to the rocks.Audient verba mea,They will hear my words, quoniam potuerunt.which have prevailed,

Sicut crassitudo terræ erupta est super terram,as when the lava of the earth has erupted above ground.dissipata sunt ossa nostra secus infernum. Our bones have been scattered beside Hell.

Quia ad te,For Lord,Domine,O Lord,Domine,my eyes look to you.oculi mei;In you,in te speravi,I have hoped.non auferas animam meam.Do not take away my soul.

Custodi me a laqueo quem statuerunt mihi,Protect me from the snare that they have set up for meet a scandalis operantium iniquitatem.and from the scandals of those who work iniquity.

Cadent in retiaculo ejus peccatores:The sinners will fall into his net.singulariter sum ego,I am alone, donec transeam.until I pass over.
