Psalmus cantici.A Canticle Psalm.Filiis Core,To the sons of Korah, secunda sabbati.on the second Sabbath.

Magnus Dominus et laudabilis nimis,The Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy,in civitate Dei nostri,in the city of our God,in monte sancto ejus.on his holy mountain.

Fundatur exsultatione universæ terræ mons Sion;Mount Zion is being founded with the exultation of the whole earth, latera aquilonis,on the north side, civitas regis magni.the city of the great king.

Deus in domibus ejus cognoscetur cum suscipiet eam.In her houses, God will be known, since he will support her.

Quoniam ecce reges terræ congregati sunt; For behold, the kings of the earth have been gathered together;convenerunt in unum.they have convened as one.

Ipsi videntes,Such did they see,sic admirati sunt,and they were astonished:conturbati sunt,they were disturbed,commoti sunt.they were moved.

Tremor apprehendit eos;Trembling took hold of them. In that place, ibi dolores ut parturientis:their pains were that of a woman in labor.

in spiritu vehementi conteres naves Tharsis. With a vehement spirit, you will crush the ships of Tarshish.

Sicut audivimus,As we have heard, sic vidimus,so we have seen,in civitate Domini virtutum,in the city of the Lord of hosts,in civitate Dei nostri:in the city of our God.Deus fundavit eam in æternum.God has founded it in eternity.

Suscepimus,We have received your mercy,Deus,O God,misericordiam tuam in medio templi tui.in the midst of your temple.

Secundum nomen tuum,According to your name,Deus,O God,sic et laus tua in fines terræ;so does your praise reach to the ends of the earth.justitia plena est dextera tua.Your right hand is full of justice.

Lætetur mons Sion,Let mount Zion rejoice,et exsultent filiæ Judæ,and let the daughters of Judah exult, propter judicia tua, because of your judgments,Domine.O Lord.

Circumdate Sion,Encircle Zionet complectimini eam;and embrace her.narrate in turribus ejus.Discourse in her towers.

Ponite corda vestra in virtute ejus,Set your hearts on her virtue.et distribuite domos ejus,And distribute her houses,ut enarretis in progenie altera.so that you may discourse of it in another generation.

Quoniam hic est Deus,For this is God,Deus noster in æternum, our God,et in sæculum sæculi:in eternity and forever and ever.ipse reget nos in sæcula. He will rule us forever.
