2Confitebimur tibi,We will confess to you,Deus,O God.confitebimur,We will confess,et invocabimus nomen tuum;and we will call upon your name.narrabimus mirabilia tua.We will describe your wonders.
3Cum accepero tempus,While I have time,ego justitias judicabo.I will judge justices.
4Liquefacta est terraThe earth has been dissolved,et omnes qui habitant in ea:with all who dwell in it.ego confirmavi columnas ejus.I have confirmed its pillars.
5Dixi iniquis:I said to the iniquitous:Nolite inique agere:“Do not act unjustly,”et delinquentibus:and to the offenders:Nolite exaltare cornu:“Do not exalt the horn.”
6nolite extollere in altum cornu vestrum;Do not exalt your horn on high.nolite loqui adversus Deum iniquitatem.Do not speak iniquity against God.
7Quia neque ab oriente,For it is neither from the east,neque ab occidente,nor from the west,neque a desertis montibus:nor before the desert mountains.
8quoniam Deus judex est.For God is judge.Hunc humiliat,This one he humbleset hunc exaltat:and that one he exalts.
9quia calix in manu Domini vini meri,For, in the hand of the Lord, there is a cup of undiluted wine,plenus misto.full of consternation.Et inclinavit ex hoc in hoc;And he has tipped it from here to there.verumtamen fæx ejus non est exinanita:So, truly, its dregs have not been emptied.bibent omnes peccatores terræ.All the sinners of the earth will drink.
10Ego autem annuntiabo in sæculum;But I will announce it in every age.cantabo Deo Jacob:I will sing to the God of Jacob.
11et omnia cornua peccatorum confringam,And I will break all the horns of sinners.et exaltabuntur cornua justi.And the horns of the just will be exalted.
