1Psalmus Asaph.A Psalm of Asaph.Deus stetit in synagoga deorum;God has stood in the synagogue of gods, but,in medio autem deos dijudicat.in their midst, he decides between gods.
2Usquequo judicatis iniquitatem,How long will you judge unjustlyet facies peccatorum sumitis?and favor the faces of sinners?
3Judicate egeno et pupillo;Judge for the indigent and the orphan.humilem et pauperem justificate.Do justice to the humble and the poor.
4Eripite pauperem,Rescue the poor,et egenum de manu peccatoris liberate.and free the needy from the hand of the sinner.
5Nescierunt,They did not knowneque intellexerunt;and did not understand.in tenebris ambulant:They wander in darkness.movebuntur omnia fundamenta terræ.All the foundations of the earth will be moved.
6Ego dixi:I said:Dii estis,You are gods,et filii Excelsi omnes.and all of you are sons of the Most High.
7Vos autem sicut homines moriemini,But you will die like men,et sicut unus de principibus cadetis.and you will fall just like one of the princes.
8Surge,Rise up,Deus,O God.judica terram,Judge the earth.quoniam tu hæreditabis in omnibus gentibus.For you will inherit it with all the nations.
