1In die illa erit fons patens domui David et habitantibus Jerusalem,In that day, there will be a fountain open to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,in ablutionem peccatoris et menstruatæ.for the washing of the transgressor and of the defiled woman.

2Et erit in die illa,And this shall be in that day,dicit Dominus exercituum:says the Lord of hosts:disperdam nomina idolorum de terra,I will disperse the names of the idols from the earth,et non memorabuntur ultra:and they will not be remembered any longer.et pseudoprophetas,And I will take away the false prophetset spiritum immundum auferam de terra.and the unclean spirit from the earth.

3Et erit:And this shall be:cum prophetaverit quispiam ultra,when any devotee will continue to prophesy,dicent ei pater ejushis father and his mother,et mater ejus,who conceived him,qui genuerunt eum:will say to him,Non vives,“You shall not live,quia mendacium locutus es in nomine Domini:because you have been speaking a lie in the name of the Lord.”et configent eum pater ejusAnd his father and his mother,et mater ejus,his own parents,genitores ejus,will pierce him,cum prophetaverit.when he will prophesy.

4Et erit:And this shall be:in die illa confundentur prophetæ,In that day, the prophets will be confounded,unusquisque ex visione sua cum prophetaverit:each one by his own vision, when he will prophesy.nec operientur pallio saccino, ut mentiantur:Neither will they be covered with a garment of sackcloth in order to deceive.

5sed dicet:But he will say,Non sum propheta:“I am not a prophet;homo agricola ego sum,I am a man of agriculture.quoniam Adam exemplum meum ab adolescentia mea.For Adam has been my example from my youth.”

6Et dicetur ei:And they will say to him,Quid sunt plagæ istæ in medio manuum tuarum?“What are these wounds in the middle of your hands?”Et dicet:And he will say,His plagatus sum in domo eorum qui diligebant me.“I was wounded with these in the house of those who love me.”

7Framea,Awake,suscitare super pastorem meum,O spear,et super virum cohærentem mihi,against my shepherd and against the man that clings to me,dicit Dominus exercituum:says the Lord of hosts.percute pastorem,Strike the shepherd,et dispergentur oves:and the sheep will be scattered.et convertam manum meam ad parvulos.And I will turn my hand to the little ones.

8Et erunt in omni terra,And there will be in all the earth,dicit Dominus:says the Lord,partes duæ in ea dispergentur,two parts in it will be scatteredet deficient:and will pass away,et tertia pars relinquetur in ea.and the third part will be left behind.

9Et ducam tertiam partem per ignem,And I will lead the third part through fire,et uram eos sicut uritur argentum,and I will burn them just as silver is burned,et probabo eos sicut probatur aurum.and I will test them just as gold is tested.Ipse vocabit nomen meum,They will call on my name,et ego exaudiam eum.and I will heed them.Dicam:I will say,Populus meus es:“You are my people.”et ipse dicet:And they will say,Dominus Deus meus.“The Lord is my God.”
