Ecce venient dies Domini,Behold, the days of the Lord will arrive,et dividentur spolia tua in medio tui.and your spoils will be divided in your midst.
Et congregabo omnes gentes ad Jerusalem in prælium:And I will gather all the Gentiles in battle against Jerusalem,et capietur civitas, and the city will be captured,et vastabuntur domus, and the houses will be ravaged,et mulieres violabuntur:and the women will be violated.et egredietur media pars civitatis in captivitatem,And the central part of the city will go forth into captivity,et reliquum populi non auferetur ex urbe.and the remainder of the people will not be taken away from the city.
Et egredietur Dominus,Then the Lord will go forth,et præliabitur contra gentes illas, and he will fight against those Gentiles, sicut præliatus est in die certaminis.just as when he fought in the day of conflict.
Et stabunt pedes ejus in die illa super montem Olivarum,And his feet will stand firm, in that day, upon the Mount of Olives, qui est contra Jerusalem ad orientem:which is opposite Jerusalem towards the East.et scindetur mons Olivarum ex media parte sui ad orientem et ad occidentem,And the mount of Olives will be divided down its center part, towards the East and towards the West,prærupto grandi valde:with a very great rupture,et separabitur medium montis ad aquilonem, and the center of the mountain will be separated towards the North,et medium ejus ad meridiem.and its center towards the Meridian.
Et fugietis ad vallem montium eorum,And you will flee to the valley of those mountains, quoniam conjungetur vallis montium usque ad proximum:because the valley of the mountains will be joined all the way to the next.et fugietis sicut fugistis a facie terræmotus in diebus Oziæ regis Juda:And you will flee, just as you fled from the face of the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.et veniet Dominus Deus meus,And the Lord my God will arrive, omnesque sancti cum eo.and all the saints with him.
Et erit in die illa:And this shall be in that day:non erit lux, there will not be light, sed frigus et gelu.only cold and frost.
Et erit dies una quæ nota est Domino,And there will be one day, which is known to the Lord, non dies neque nox:not day and not night.et in tempore vesperi erit lux.And in the time of the evening, there will be light.
Et erit in die illa:And this shall be in that day:exibunt aquæ vivæ de Jerusalem:the living waters will go out from Jerusalem, medium earum ad mare orientale, half of them towards the East sea,et medium earum ad mare novissimum:and half of them towards the furthest sea.in æstate et in hieme erunt. They will be in summer and in winter.
Et erit Dominus rex super omnem terram:And the Lord will be King over all the earth.in die illa erit Dominus unus,In that day, there will be one Lord,et erit nomen ejus unum.and his name will be one.
Et revertetur omnis terra usque ad desertum,And all the land will return even to the desert,de colle Remmon ad austrum Jerusalem:from the hill of Rimmon to the South of Jerusalem.et exaltabitur,And she will be exalted,et habitabit in loco suo,and she will dwell in her own place,a porta Benjamin usque ad locum portæ prioris, from the gate of Benjamin even to the place of the former gate,et usque ad portam angulorum, and even to the gate of the corners,et a turre Hananeel usque ad torcularia regis.and from the tower of Hananel even to the pressing room of the king.
Et habitabunt in ea,And they will dwell in it,et anathema non erit amplius, and there will be no further anathema, sed sedebit Jerusalem secura.but Jerusalem shall sit securely.
Et hæc erit plaga qua percutiet Dominus omnes gentes quæ pugnaverunt adversus Jerusalem:And this will be the plague by which the Lord will strike all the Gentiles that have fought against Jerusalem.tabescet caro uniuscujusque stantis super pedes suos:The flesh of each one will waste away while they are standing on their feet,et oculi ejus contabescent in foraminibus suis, and their eyes will be consumed in their sockets,et lingua eorum contabescet in ore suo.and their tongue will be consumed in their mouth.
In die illa erit tumultus Domini magnus in eis:In that day, there will be a great tumult from the Lord among them.et apprehendet vir manum proximi sui,And a man will take the hand of his neighbor,et conseretur manus ejus super manum proximi sui.and his hand will be clasped upon the hand of his neighbor.
Sed et Judas pugnabit adversus Jerusalem:And even Judah will fight against Jerusalem.et congregabuntur divitiæ omnium gentium in circuitu,And the riches of all the Gentiles will be gathered together around them:aurum, gold,et argentum, and silver,et vestes multæ satis.and more than enough garments.
Et sic erit ruina equi,And, like the ruin of the horse,et muli, and the mule,et cameli, and the camel,et asini, and the donkey,et omnium jumentorum quæ fuerint in castris illis, and all the beasts of burden, which will have been in those encampments, sicut ruina hæc.so will be this ruination.
Et omnes qui reliqui fuerint de universis gentibus quæ venerunt contra Jerusalem,And all those who will be the remnant of all the Gentiles that came against Jerusalem, ascendent ab anno in annum ut adorent regem, will go up, from year to year, to adore the King,Dominum exercituum, the Lord of hosts,et celebrent festivitatem tabernaculorum.and to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.
Et erit:And this shall be:qui non ascenderit de familiis terræ ad Jerusalem ut adoret regem, whoever will not go up, from the families of the earth to Jerusalem, so as to adore the King,Dominum exercituum, the Lord of hosts, non erit super eos imber.there will be no showers upon them.
Quod etsi familia Ægypti non ascenderit et non venerit,But if even the family of Egypt will go not up, nor approach, nec super eos erit:neither will it be upon them, sed erit ruina, but there will be ruin, qua percutiet Dominus omnes gentes quæ non ascenderint ad celebrandam festivitatem tabernaculorum.by which the Lord will strike all the Gentiles, who will not go up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.
Hoc erit peccatum Ægypti,This will be the sin of Egypt,et hoc peccatum omnium gentium quæ non ascenderint ad celebrandam festivitatem tabernaculorum.and this will be the sin of all the Gentiles, who will not go up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.
In die illa,In that day, erit quod super frenum equi est, sanctum Domino:that which is on the bridle of the horse will be holy to the Lord.et erunt lebetes in domo Domini quasi phialæ coram altari. And even the cooking pots in the house of the Lord will be like holy vessels before the altar.
Et erit omnis lebes in Jerusalem et in Juda sanctificatus Domino exercituum:And every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be sanctified to the Lord of hosts.et venient omnes immolantes,And all those who make sacrifices will come and take from them,et sument ex eis,and will cook with them.et coquent in eis:And the merchant will no longer be in the house of the Lord of hosts,et non erit mercator ultra in domo Domini exercituum in die illo.in that day.
