Omnino auditur inter vos fornicatio,Above all else,et talis fornicatio,it is being said that there is fornication among you, qualis nec inter gentes, even fornication of a such kind that is not among the Gentiles, ita ut uxorem patris sui aliquis habeat.so that someone would have the wife of his father.

Et vos inflati estis:And yet you are inflated,et non magis luctum habuistis ut tollatur de medio vestrum qui hoc opus fecit.and you have not instead been grieved, so that he who has done this thing would be taken away from your midst.

Ego quidem absens corpore,Certainly, though absent in body,præsens autem spiritu,I am present in spirit. Thus, jam judicavi ut præsens eum,I have already judged, as if I were present, qui sic operatus est,him who has done this.

in nomine Domini nostri Jesu Christi,In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, congregatis vobis et meo spiritu, you have been gathered together with my spirit, cum virtute Domini nostri Jesu,in the power of our Lord Jesus,

tradere hujusmodi Satanæ in interitum carnis,to hand over such a one as this to Satan, for the destruction of the flesh,ut spiritus salvus sit in die Domini nostri Jesu Christi.so that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Non est bona gloriatio vestra. It is not good for you to glory.Nescitis quia modicum fermentum totam massam corrumpit?Do you not know that a little leaven corrupts the entire mass?

Expurgate vetus fermentum, ut sitis nova conspersio,Purge the old leaven, so that you may become the new bread, sicut estis azymi.for you are unleavened.Etenim Pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus. For Christ, our Passover, has now been immolated.

Itaque epulemur:And so, let us feast, non in fermento veteri, not with the old leaven, neque in fermento malitiæ et nequitiæ:not with the leaven of malice and wickedness, sed in azymis sinceritatis et veritatis.but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Scripsi vobis in epistola:As I have written to you in an epistle:Ne commisceamini fornicariis:“Do not associate with fornicators,”

non utique fornicariis hujus mundi, certainly not with the fornicators of this world, aut avaris, nor with the greedy, aut rapacibus, nor with robbers, aut idolis servientibus:nor with the servants of idolatry.alioquin debueratis de hoc mundo exiisse.Otherwise, you ought to depart from this world.

Nunc autem scripsi vobis non commisceri:But now I have written to you:si is qui frater nominatur,do not associate with anyone who is called a brother and yet is a fornicator, est fornicator,or greedy, aut avarus,or a servant of idolatry, aut idolis serviens,or a slanderer, aut maledicus,or inebriated, aut ebriosus,or a robber.aut rapax,With such a one as this, cum ejusmodi nec cibum sumere.do not even take food.

Quid enim mihi de iis qui foris sunt, judicare? For what have I to do with judging those who are outside?nonne de iis qui intus sunt, vos judicatis? But do not even you yourselves judge those who are inside?

nam eos qui foris sunt,For those who are outside,Deus judicabit.God will judge.Auferte malum ex vobis ipsis. But send this evil person away from yourselves.
