¹²Hæc dicit Dominus Deus:Thus says the Lord God:Pro eo quod fecit Idumæa ultionem ut se vindicaret de filiis Juda,Because Idumea has taken vengeance, so as to vindicate herself against the sons of Judah,peccavitque delinquens,and has sinned grievously,et vindictam expetivit de eis:and has sought revenge against them,

¹²Hæc dicit Dominus Deus:Thus says the Lord God:Pro eo quod fecit Idumæa ultionem ut se vindicaret de filiis Juda,Because Idumea has taken vengeance, so as to vindicate herself against the sons of Judah,peccavitque delinquens,and has sinned grievously,et vindictam expetivit de eis:and has sought revenge against them,

¹³idcirco hæc dicit Dominus Deus:therefore,Extendam manum meam super Idumæam,thus says the Lord God:et auferam de ea hominem et jumentum,I will extend my hand over Idumea,et faciam eam desertam ab austro:and I will take from it both man and beast,et qui sunt in Dedan,and I will make it desolate from the south.gladio cadent.And those who are in Dedan will fall by the sword.

¹⁵Hæc dicit Dominus Deus:Thus says the Lord God:Pro eo quod fecerunt Palæstini vindictam,Because the Philistines have taken vengeance,et ulti se sunt toto animo,and have revenged themselves with all their soul,interficientes,destroying,et implentes inimicitias veteres,and fulfilling ancient hostilities,

¹⁶propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus:because of this, thus says the Lord God:Ecce ego extendam manum meam super Palæstinos,Behold, I will extend my hand over the Philistines,et interficiam interfectores,and I will destroy those who destroy,et perdam reliquias maritimæ regionis,and I will perish the remnant of the maritime regions.

¹⁶propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus:because of this, thus says the Lord God:Ecce ego extendam manum meam super Palæstinos,Behold, I will extend my hand over the Philistines,et interficiam interfectores,and I will destroy those who destroy,et perdam reliquias maritimæ regionis,and I will perish the remnant of the maritime regions.

¹⁷faciamque in eis ultiones magnas,And I will execute great vengeance against them,arguens in furore:reproving them in fury.et scient quia ego Dominus,And they shall know that I am the Lord,cum dedero vindictam meam super eos.when I will send my vengeance upon them.”
