⁴Et misi ad vos omnes servos meos prophetas,And I sent to you all my servants, the prophets,de nocte consurgens,rising in the night,mittensque et dicens:and sending, and saying:Nolite facere verbum abominationis hujuscemodi,‘Do not choose to do this abominable word,quam odivi.which I hate.’

⁴Et misi ad vos omnes servos meos prophetas,And I sent to you all my servants, the prophets,de nocte consurgens,rising in the night,mittensque et dicens:and sending, and saying:Nolite facere verbum abominationis hujuscemodi,‘Do not choose to do this abominable word,quam odivi.which I hate.’

⁵Et non audierunt,But they did not listen,nec inclinaverunt aurem suam,nor did they incline their ear,ut converterentur a malis suis,so that they would convert from their evil,et non sacrificarent diis alienis.and so that they would not sacrifice to strange gods.
