²Loquere filiis Israël,Speak to the sons of Israel,et dices ad eos:and you shall say to them:Mulier,A woman,si suscepto semine pepererit masculum,if she has received the seed to bear a male,immunda erit septem diebus juxta dies separationis menstruæ.shall be unclean for seven days, just as in the days of separation due to menstruation.

⁵Sin autem feminam pepererit,But if she will bear a female,immunda erit duabus hebdomadibus juxta ritum fluxus menstrui,she shall be unclean for two weeks, according to the custom of her monthly flow,et sexaginta sex diebus manebit in sanguine purificationis suæ.and she shall remain in the blood of her purification for sixty-six days.

⁶Cumque expleti fuerint dies purificationis suæ,And when the days of her purification have been completed,pro filio sive pro filia,for a son or for a daughter,deferet agnum anniculum in holocaustum,she shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,et pullum columbæ sive turturem pro peccato,a one-year-old lamb as a holocaust,ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii,and a young pigeon or a turtledove for sin,et tradet sacerdoti,and she shall deliver them to the priest.
