Canticum Psalmi,A Canticle Psalm,ipsi David.of David himself.

Paratum cor meum,My heart is prepared,Deus,O God,paratum cor meum;my heart is prepared.cantabo,I will sing songs,et psallam in gloria mea.and I will sing psalms in my glory.

Exsurge,Rise up,gloria mea;my glory.exsurge,Rise up,psalterium et cithara;Psalter and harp.exsurgam diluculo.I will arise in early morning.

Confitebor tibi in populis,I will confess to you, O Lord, among the peoples.Domine, et psallam tibi in nationibus:And I will sing psalms to you among the nations.

quia magna est super cælos misericordia tua,For your mercy is great, beyond the heavens,et usque ad nubes veritas tua.and your truth, even to the clouds.

Exaltare super cælos, Deus, et super omnem terram gloria tua:Be exalted, O God, beyond the heavens, and your glory, beyond all the earth,

ut liberentur dilecti tui.so that your beloved may be freed.Salvum fac dextera tua,Save with your right hand,et exaudi me.and heed me.

Deus locutus est in sancto suo:God has spoken in his holiness.Exsultabo,I will exult,et dividam Sichimam;and I will divide Shechem,et convallem tabernaculorum dimetiar.and I will divide by measure the steep valley of tabernacles.

Meus est Galaad,Gilead is mine,et meus est Manasses, and Manasseh is mine,et Ephraim susceptio capitis mei.and Ephraim is the supporter of my head.Juda rex meus;Judah is my king.

Moab lebes spei meæ:Moab is the cooking pot of my hope.in Idumæam extendam calceamentum meum;I will extend my shoe in Idumea;mihi alienigenæ amici facti sunt.the foreigners have become my friends.

Quis deducet me in civitatem munitam?Who will lead me into the fortified city?quis deducet me usque in Idumæam?Who will lead me, even into Idumea?

nonne tu,Will not you,Deus,O God,qui repulisti nos?who had rejected us?et non exibis,And will not you,Deus,O God,in virtutibus nostris?go out with our armies?

Da nobis auxilium de tribulatione,Grant us help from tribulation, quia vana salus hominis.for vain is the help of man.

In Deo faciemus virtutem; In God, we will act virtuously,et ipse ad nihilum deducet inimicos nostros.and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
