Psalmus David.A Psalm of David.Dominus regit me,The Lord directs me,et nihil mihi deerit:and nothing will be lacking to me.
in loco pascuæ,He has settled me here, ibi me collocavit.in a place of pasture.Super aquam refectionis educavit me;He has led me out to the water of refreshment.
animam meam convertit. He has converted my soul.Deduxit me super semitas justitiæ propter nomen suum.He has led me away on the paths of justice, for the sake of his name.
Nam etsi ambulavero in medio umbræ mortis,For,non timebo mala, even if I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, quoniam tu mecum es.I will fear no evils.Virga tua,For you are with me.et baculus tuus,Your rod and your staff, ipsa me consolata sunt.they have given me consolation.
Parasti in conspectu meo mensam adversus eos qui tribulant me;You have prepared a table in my sight, opposite those who trouble me.impinguasti in oleo caput meum:You have anointed my head with oil,et calix meus inebrians, and my cup, which inebriates me,quam præclarus est!how brilliant it is!
Et misericordia tua subsequetur me omnibus diebus vitæ meæ;And your mercy will follow me all the days of my life,et ut inhabitem in domo Domini in longitudinem dierum.and so may I dwell in the house of the Lord for length of days.
