1Prima sabbati.For the First Sabbath.Psalmus David.A Psalm of David.Domini est terra,The earthet plenitudo ejus;and all its fullness belong to the Lord:orbis terrarum,the whole worldet universi qui habitant in eo.and all that dwells in it.

2Quia ipse super maria fundavit eum,For he has founded it upon the seas,et super flumina præparavit eum.and he has prepared it upon the rivers.

3Quis ascendet in montem Domini?Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord?aut quis stabit in loco sancto ejus?And who will stand in his holy place?

4Innocens manibus et mundo corde,The innocent of hands and the clean of heart,qui non accepit in vano animam suam,who has not received his soul in vain,nec juravit in dolo proximo suo:nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbor.

5hic accipiet benedictionem a Domino,He will receive a blessing from the Lord,et misericordiam a Deo salutari suo.and mercy from God, his Savior.

6Hæc est generatio quærentium eum,This is the generation that seeks him,quærentium faciem Dei Jacob.that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.

7Attollite portas,Lift up your gates,principes,you princes,vestras, et elevamini,and be lifted up,portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.

8Quis est iste rex gloriæ?Who is this King of Glory?Dominus fortis et potens,The Lord who is strong and powerful;Dominus potens in prælio.the Lord powerful in battle.

9Attollite portas,Lift up your gates,principes,you princes,vestras, et elevamini,and be lifted up,portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.

10Quis est iste rex gloriæ?Who is this King of Glory?Dominus virtutum ipse est rex gloriæ.The Lord of virtue. He himself is the King of Glory.
