2Deus meus,In you, my God,in te confido; non erubescam.I trust. Let me not be put to shame.
3Neque irrideant me inimici mei:And do not let my enemies laugh at me.etenim universi qui sustinent te, non confundentur.For all who remain with you will not be confounded.
4Confundantur omnes iniqua agentes supervacue. Vias tuas,May all those who act unjustly over nothing be confounded. O Lord,Domine, demonstra mihi,demonstrate your ways to me,et semitas tuas edoce me.and teach me your paths.
5Dirige me in veritate tua,Direct me in your truth,et doce me,and teach me.quia tu es Deus salvator meus,For you are God, my Savior,et te sustinui tota die.and I remain with you all day long.
6Reminiscere miserationum tuarum,O Lord,Domine,remember your compassion and your mercies,et misericordiarum tuarum quæ a sæculo sunt.which are from ages past.
7Delicta juventutis meæ, et ignorantias meas, ne memineris.Do not remember the offenses of my youth and my ignorances.Secundum misericordiam tuam memento mei tu,Remember me according to your mercy,propter bonitatem tuam,because of your goodness,Domine.O Lord.
8DulcisThe Lord is sweet and righteous.et rectus Dominus;Because of this,propter hoc legem dabit delinquentibus in via.he will grant a law to those who fall short in the way.
9Diriget mansuetos in judicio;He will direct the mild in judgment.docebit mites vias suas.He will teach the meek his ways.
10Universæ viæ Domini, misericordia et veritas,All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth,requirentibus testamentum ejus et testimonia ejus.to those who yearn for his covenant and his testimonies.
11Propter nomen tuum,Because of your name,Domine,O Lord,propitiaberis peccato meo;you will pardon my sin,multum est enim.for it is great.
12Quis est homo qui timet Dominum?Which is the man who fears the Lord?legem statuit ei in via quam elegit.He has established a law for him, on the way that he has chosen.
13Anima ejus in bonis demorabitur,His soul will dwell upon good things,et semen ejus hæreditabit terram.and his offspring will inherit the earth.
14Firmamentum est Dominus timentibus eum;The Lord is a firmament to those who fear him,et testamentum ipsius ut manifestetur illis.and his covenant will be made manifest to them.
15Oculi mei semper ad Dominum,My eyes are ever toward the Lord,quoniam ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos.for he will pull my feet from the snare.
16Respice in me, et miserere mei,Look upon me and have mercy on me;quia unicus et pauper sum ego.for I am alone and poor.
17Tribulationes cordis mei multiplicatæ sunt:The troubles of my heart have been multiplied.de necessitatibus meis erue me.Deliver me from my needfulness.
18Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum,See my lowliness and my hardship,et dimitte universa delicta mea.and release all my offenses.
19Respice inimicos meos,Consider my enemies,quoniam multiplicati sunt,for they have been multiplied,et odio iniquo oderunt me.and they have hated me with an unjust hatred.
20Custodi animam meam,Preserve my soulet erue me:and rescue me.non erubescam,I will not be ashamed,quoniam speravi in te.for I have hoped in you.
21Innocentes et recti adhæserunt mihi,The innocent and the righteous have adhered to me,quia sustinui te.because I have remained with you.
22Libera,Free Israel,Deus,O God,Israël ex omnibus tribulationibus suis.from all his tribulations.
