Psalmus David.A Psalm of David.Judica me,Judge me,Deus,O God,et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta:and discern my cause from that of a nation not holy;ab homine iniquo et doloso erue me.rescue me from a man unjust and deceitful.

Quia tu es, Deus,For you are God,fortitudo mea: quare me repulisti?my strength. Why have you rejected me?et quare tristis incedo,And why do I walk in sadness, dum affligit me inimicus?while the adversary afflicts me?

Emitte lucem tuam et veritatem tuam:Send forth your light and your truth.ipsa me deduxerunt,They have guided me and led me,et adduxerunt in montem sanctum tuum, et in tabernacula tua.to your holy mountain and into your tabernacles.

Et introibo ad altare Dei, ad Deum qui lætificat juventutem meam. Confitebor tibi in cithara, Deus, Deus meus. And I will enter, up to the altar of God, to God who enlivens my youthfulness. To you, O God, my God, I will confess upon a stringed instrument.

Quare tristis es,Why are you sad, anima mea?my soul?et quare conturbas me?And why do you disquiet me?Spera in Deo,Hope in God,quoniam adhuc confitebor illi, for I will still give praise to him:salutare vultus mei,the salvation of my countenanceet Deus meus.and my God.
