Psalmus, in Salomonem.A Psalm according to Solomon.
Deus,Give your judgment, judicium tuum regi da,O God,et justitiam tuam filio regis;to the king, judicare populum tuum in justitia, and your justice to the king’s son,et pauperes tuos in judicio.to judge your people with justice and your poor with judgment.
Suscipiant montes pacem populo,Let the mountains take up peace for the people,et colles justitiam.and the hills, justice.
Judicabit pauperes populi,He will judge the poor of the people,et salvos faciet filios pauperum, and he will bring salvation to the sons of the poor.et humiliabit calumniatorem. And he will humble the false accuser.
Et permanebit cum sole,And he will remain,et ante lunam, with the sun and before the moon,in generatione et generationem.from generation to generation.
Descendet sicut pluvia in vellus,He will descend like rain upon fleece,et sicut stillicidia stillantia super terram.and like showers showering upon the earth.
Orietur in diebus ejus justitia,In his days, justice will rise like the sun,et abundantia pacis, with abundance of peace, donec auferatur luna.until the moon is taken away.
Et dominabitur a mari usque ad mare,And he will rule from sea to seaet a flumine usque ad terminos orbis terrarum.and from the river to the limits of the whole world.
Coram illo procident Æthiopes,In his sight, the Ethiopians will fall prostrate,et inimici ejus terram lingent.and his enemies will lick the ground.
Reges Tharsis et insulæ munera offerent; The kings of Tarshish and the islands will offer gifts.reges Arabum et Saba dona adducent:The kings of Arabia and of Seba will bring gifts.
et adorabunt eum omnes reges terræ;And all the kings of the earth shall adore him.omnes gentes servient ei.All nations will serve him.
Quia liberabit pauperem a potente,For he will free the poor from the powerful,et pauperem cui non erat adjutor.and the poor one who has no helper.
Parcet pauperi et inopi,He will spare the poor and the indigent,et animas pauperum salvas faciet.and he will bring salvation to the souls of the poor.
Ex usuris et iniquitate redimet animas eorum,He will redeem their souls from usuries and from iniquity,et honorabile nomen eorum coram illo.and their names shall be honorable in his sight.
Et vivet,And he will live,et dabitur ei de auro Arabiæ;and to him will be given from the gold of Arabia,et adorabunt de ipso semper, and by him they will always adore.tota die benedicent ei.They will bless him all day long.
Et erit firmamentum in terra in summis montium; And there will be a firmament on earth, at the summits of mountains:superextolletur super Libanum fructus ejus, et florebunt de civitate sicut fœnum terræ.its fruits will be extolled above Lebanon, and those of the city will flourish like the grass of the earth.
Sit nomen ejus benedictum in sæcula;May his name be blessed forever;ante solem permanet nomen ejus.may his name remain before the sun.Et benedicentur in ipso omnes tribus terræ;And all the tribes of the earth will be blessed in him.omnes gentes magnificabunt eum.All nations will magnify him.
Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël,Blessed is the Lord, God of Israel, qui facit mirabilia solus.who alone does wondrous things.
Et benedictum nomen majestatis ejus in æternum,And blessed is the name of his majesty in eternity.et replebitur majestate ejus omnis terra. And all the earth will be filled with his majesty.Fiat,Amen.fiat.Amen.
