³⁵Argentum autem et aurum dedit Joakim Pharaoni,Now Jehoiakim gave silver and gold to Pharaoh,cum indixisset terræ per singulos, ut conferretur juxta præceptum Pharaonis:when he had taxed the land, according to each one who would contribute by the command of Pharaoh.et unumquemque juxta vires suas exegit,And he exacted both silver and gold from the people of the land,tam argentum quam aurum, de populo terræ,from each one according to his ability,ut daret Pharaoni Nechao.so that he would give to Pharaoh Neco.
